Boucheron
Composition No. 1 from the Carte Blanche Impermanence collection
Shows black poppies and sweet peas blooming against a jet black background.

The matte black titanium flower petals are coated inside with Vantablack®, a material said to absorb 99.965% of visible light, creating the illusion of near-fading. The core of the flower is inlaid with black spinels, some of which are installed in the classical way with the platform up, and some with the platform down.
The twisting shoots of titanium sweet peas are also decorated with black spinels. Its flowers, skillfully made of black aventurine glass and onyx, captivate with the exquisite fragility of the petals.

In this almost complete darkness there was a butterfly. Its body is made of matte black titanium, trimmed with black spinels, and its wings are made of sapphire crystal, specially designed to create a translucent effect. The entire ensemble is placed in a vase created using 3D printing from black sand.

Butterflies with wings made of transparent sapphire seem to soar in the depths of darkness, capturing the serenity of the last moments of life.
The poppy is separated from the vase and turned into a headband or brooch, the sweet pea – into several different brooches, and the butterfly, as if taking off thanks to a system of magnets, is ready to sit on the shoulder as a brooch.
