Verdant Waves Earrings and Necklace from the Palace Voyages Collection

The design of this set was inspired by the Green Gate of the City Palace in Jaipur, which was built in the late 1720s and early 1730s to house the family of the ruling Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.

The gate symbolized spring in the palace and was dedicated to the Hindu god Ganesha, whose image is located above the arch.
This set showcases a magnificent and refined architectural style, reflecting the gate’s symbolic significance as a passage between two worlds, East and West, tradition and modernity. The design utilizes yellow diamonds and tourmalines in various shades of green to create the curved structure of the Ganesha Gate’s arch, creating a rich and impressive effect. Officially known as the Leheriya Gate, it means “waves.” The gate gets its name from its bright green wavy pattern, reminiscent of the traditional Rajasthani fabric dyeing technique called leheriya.
